A New Chapter for Rewind Wellness: From Switzerland to Education and Beyond

The past few weeks have marked an exciting new chapter for Rewind Wellness. Between continued advanced training in Switzerland, expanding the clinic space, achieving a new professional milestone as an I-ACT instructor, and preparing to launch my own educational course, there is a lot happening behind the scenes.

What connects it all is a commitment to learning, thoughtful client care, and a deeper understanding of the relationship between the gut, the brain, and the nervous system.

Continuing the Learning Journey in Switzerland

Earlier this month, Kelly from Sona Wellness in Kelowna and I travelled to Switzerland to complete Module 3 of our continued studies in neurovascular colon hydrotherapy at Sonnenberg Bio Medical Health Hotel and Clinic.

Our journey with this specialized approach began two years ago when we studied in Florida under Cathy Shea. Returning to continue our education was an opportunity to build on that foundation, deepen our understanding, and continue exploring how nervous system regulation and parasympathetic responsiveness relate to colon hydrotherapy.

For me, continuing education is about more than adding another qualification. It is about remaining curious, questioning what we know, and continually refining how we approach our work.

At Rewind Wellness, I believe digestive health deserves a thoughtful, individualized approach that considers more than the physical symptoms alone. The gut and nervous system are closely connected, and understanding that relationship continues to shape the way I practise.

A Bigger Space and New Opportunities at Rewind Wellness

This fall also brought an exciting change closer to home: the expansion of Rewind Wellness into a new clinic space as part of the Rewind x JUVO Wellness Collective in Red Deer, Alberta.

As Rewind continues to grow, this expansion creates new opportunities to bring complementary wellness services together while maintaining the individualized, nurse-led care that has always been central to my practice.

The goal remains the same: to create a welcoming space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to take a more active role in their wellness journey.

Growth does not mean losing sight of what matters. It means creating more room for the work, the relationships, and the possibilities that brought Rewind Wellness to life in the first place.

A New Milestone: Becoming an I-ACT Instructor

I am also excited to share that I have been approved as an instructor with the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT).

As a registered nurse with a background in emergency nursing and a focus on holistic nurse coaching, education has always been an important part of my professional identity. Becoming an I-ACT instructor represents an opportunity to bring those experiences together and support the next generation of colon hydrotherapy practitioners.

I believe education should encourage critical thinking, professional responsibility, and a willingness to keep learning. My goal is to help practitioners develop a more comprehensive understanding of the work they do, including the importance of individualized care, nervous system awareness, and a thoughtful approach to client comfort and safety.

This milestone is especially meaningful because it opens the door to sharing what I have learned with others who are passionate about digestive wellness.

Introducing The Regulated Gut

Alongside these developments, I have been preparing to launch my own educational course: The Regulated Gut: Trauma-Informed & Bio-Integrated Colon Hydrotherapy.

This course brings together my interest in the gut-brain connection, nervous system regulation, and a more integrated approach to colon hydrotherapy education.

The intention is to encourage practitioners to look beyond technique alone and consider the broader context of the client experience. How we communicate, how we approach care, and how we understand the relationship between stress, regulation, and digestion can all influence the way we think about our practice.

Developing this course has been a significant project, and I am looking forward to sharing it with practitioners who want to deepen their knowledge and continue developing their approach to client care.

The Regulated Gut is a specialized educational offering, with a focus distinct and different from full professional certification training.

Looking Ahead to January 2027

The next chapter is already taking shape.

Beginning in January 2027, I will be preparing to offer full I-ACT certification classes through Rewind Wellness, creating another opportunity to support practitioners who want to pursue formal training in colon hydrotherapy.

Between continued advanced learning, developing educational resources, and creating opportunities for future practitioners, I am excited to see Rewind Wellness growing beyond the treatment room while staying grounded in its original purpose.

Three years ago, Rewind Wellness began with a vision for a more thoughtful approach to digestive wellness. Today, that vision continues to evolve through client care, collaboration, education, and an ongoing commitment to learning.

Thank you to every client, colleague, mentor, and supporter who has been part of this journey so far. There is so much more to come, and I am excited to share this next chapter with you.
